Me Time This Valentine's Day | lifestyle


It's Valentine's Day on Sunday & with this, love is in the air. However, Valentine's Day isn't just about showing the special one's in your life how much you love them, we should all give ourselves a little extra love on this day too and one of the best ways to give a little love to yourself is to indulge in some 'me time'.
Some of my favourite ways to relax and put my feet up are. Dreaming of my dream next destination by diving into Condé Nast Traveller or planning upcoming travels searching through Lonely Planet guides, trying to master my new Instax Mini 8 and enjoying a cup of tea in my favourite mug. A recent obsessed of mine, and slightly narcissistic but I think its ok in this posts context is mugs you can write on, all of which I have labeled up with my blog name. *Find these mugs here.
Along side blogging, being a general social media nerd and all of the above, I made it a mission in 2016 to read more, rather than getting lost in Netflix, to pick up a book and switch off for a little bit. *Major disclaimer I'm still never missing a #PLLWednesday. I've found this bit of 'me time' helps keep me motivated and positive because, as much as I love it social media is sometimes a never ending machine. I'm currently reading, 'Wild' by Cheryl Strayed and 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' by Stephen R. Covey.
As well as all of the above, nothing beats a little bit of pampering, something about Valentine's Day always makes me in the mood for a little pamper session and I have recently revolutionised my pamper routine. If you try one thing from this post, I'm telling you this is a game changer. So much screen time can often leave you with headaches, so when you're waiting for your face mask to dry, try a head massager, they're amazing.
