Bloggers Unite, #NottsMeetSep14 | lifestyle

This weekend I got the chance to attend a blogging event in Nottingham hosted by the lovely Leah & Gemma. I haven't been to an event in months so I was looking forward to meeting some fellow bloggers and chat about things only we understand.

The event was held at a new Bar and Venue in Nottingham called Sobar. Sobar is an Alcohol free venue, working in collaboration with those in recovery from Alcoholism, but on the outside it's just a great Bar, Coffee Shop and Restaurant.

I really liked the decor, it is one of those places you feel you can get comfortable in, I could sit in here for ages sipping on Coffee and it was good to see it full of people as it is a new venue.

When we first arrived we were taken to a private section of the restaurant and had the chance to just chill, chat and have some delicious food and drink. These are always my favourite parts of events because once you're sat at a table with people, you really get chance to talk and get to know each other.

Sal's Pulled Pork Pizza.

My Caesar Salad.

The food was really good and pretty reasonably priced and the drinks we're a really good price too, especially with there being no alcohol this is a great place to go for a nice dinner on a budget.

Amber & Myself.

Me & Sally.

After dinner, we headed upstairs to the conference room and were introduced to Suzie from Xenca who was really lovely and made us go round the table and introduce ourselves, which meant it gave us a chance to hear from each other if we hadn't had a chance to talk over lunch, or if we'd never met before.

During Suzie's talk she let us try and play with all the products Xenca offer and talked us through the great ethics behind this British Health and Beauty brand and all about the 100% Organic ingredients in most of their products.

It was a nice surprise to see a decent range in such a young company and that some of the lip and eye products I could see myself using.

Finally we even got the chance to sample some crazy supplements such as Collagen and  'Green Juice' and hear about some success stories the brand have had from people using them. I was hesitant to try some, as things like that freak me out but I'm planning on doing some research and may have to purchase because the results sound amazing.

Then it was time to go home, these things always go so quick but I was grateful for a lovely day, thank you so much again to Leah and Gemma, you put together a great day.

Thanks also to Sobar for hosting us and to The Blogger Programme and all the other brands associated with the event.

Until next time,

Love&Kisses,

Mel
